The High Value Manufacturing Catapult is delighted to announce that Professor Sam Turner is appointed as its new Chief Technology Officer.
HVM Catapult CEO Dick Elsy said: “I’m really pleased that we’ve made an internal appointment for this key role. Sam is an excellent technologist and can bring collaborators together to focus on innovation. It’s great to have him on board. He shares our passion for the HVM Catapult mission to help companies deliver new manufacturing technology to market”.
Sam Turner said: “I’m excited and honoured to be taking on the HVM Catapult CTO role and joining the core team. I’m passionate about delivering transformation into UK industry through manufacturing technology. There are some great opportunities nationally at the moment. “
Professor Keith Ridgway, Executive Dean of the AMRC, said: “We are delighted that Sam Turner has been offered the opportunity to be the CTO of the HVM Catapult. It is a great accolade for both Sam and the AMRC and we wish him well in his new role.”
Sam will begin a progressive handover of his responsibilities from January and will be full-time in role from the beginning of March 2017.
