Teaching the skills for low-carbon technologies

MTC worked with Quantum Group Renewables LLP, one of London’s largest air source heat pump installation companies, with the aim of attracting 13,000 students a year onto college courses to give them the skills needed to install and maintain low-carbon technologies.

MTC supported Quantum with the development, prototyping and launch of its demonstration and teaching bays for green technologies for the further education sector.

Portable equipment units for sixth form colleges have been developed to teach younger pupils about how the renewables and green technology works, while the collaboration also helped Quantum run over 200 courses for upskilling staff.
