Smart production line unlocks more jobs and new contracts

LISI AEROSPACE provisionally secured additional funding for two more production lines by 2027.

The AMRC partnered with LISI AEROSPACE, a global leader in high-technology aerospace components, to deliver a smart factory production line which has increased productivity by over 100%.

The new line at its Rugby facility led to record turnover figures, 12 new jobs and the expansion of its apprenticeship programme. LISI AEROSPACE, which is part of French-owned LISI Group, has also won additional contracts worth over £2m and provisionally secured additional funding for two more production lines by 2027.

The project has become a showpiece case study within the LISI group and will now be used as a template for future projects.
