Ian Collier announced as our new Director of Operations

The High Value Manufacturing Catapult, which is focused on bringing new technologies to market through development of innovative manufacturing processes, has appointed industry veteran Ian Collier to its management team as Director of Operations.

Ian will be responsible for the operational model for the HVM Catapult, developing processes that allow for effective and efficient cross-centre work between the seven organisations that form the HVM Catapult. In addition, Ian will lead a number of substantive HVM Catapult business programmes covering such areas as skills and e-infrastructure.

Ian has occupied a range of senior management roles in the automotive industry as Manufacturing Director at Land Rover, Board Member for Engineering and Manufacturing at Rolls Royce and Bentley Motor Cars, COO at WilliamsF1 and MD Assembly and Paint Services Europe for Voith Industrial Services.

The appointment of Ian Collier is indicative of the HVM Catapult’s fast-growing success and the scale of its operation in helping to revitalise British manufacturing. He supplements a vastly experienced leadership team and board, which consists variously of private sector industrialists, policymakers and academic leaders.
