The High Value Manufacturing Catapult, which is focused on bringing new technologies to market through development of innovative manufacturing processes, has appointed industry veteran Ian Collier to its management team as Director of Operations.
Ian will be responsible for the operational model for the HVM Catapult, developing processes that allow for effective and efficient cross-centre work between the seven organisations that form the HVM Catapult. In addition, Ian will lead a number of substantive HVM Catapult business programmes covering such areas as skills and e-infrastructure.

His wealth of manufacturing industry experience in both large companies and specialist SME’s provides us with real bench strength in the core team. His industry-driven, pragmatic approach will provide strong delivery focus to our activities.”
Ian Collier, Director of Operations, said ‘I am delighted to be joining Dick Elsy’s team at the HVM Catapult. Successfully re-energising our manufacturing sector will be critical to achieving a prosperous future for the UK and is essential if we’re to be able to offer our young people the prospects and opportunities they deserve. The HVM Catapult is a cornerstone of the plan for growth in manufacturing and I am really looking forward to being able to contribute to its future success.”
