The High Value Manufacturing (HVM) Catapult partners with EEF, the manufacturers’ organisation, for its flagship annual national manufacturing conference, taking place in London on 24th February 2016. The move demonstrates the importance of collaboration and research and development to the future of manufacturing.
The HVM Catapult will also exhibit at the conference. We will be sharing the results and success stories of manufacturers that have taken advantage of our top-of-the-range facilities in order to inspire and encourage more companies to follow suit.
Terry Scuoler, CEO of EEF, says: “Manufacturing contributes much to the UK economy in the form of highly-skilled jobs, trade and high productivity levels. Collaboration and research and development are essential to the future of UK manufacturing and to support growth in the sector.
“This conference is about enabling manufacturers, Government and policy-makers to better understand the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead and to map out how we ensure Britain stays at the forefront of high value manufacturing. We are therefore delighted to have the HVM Catapult on board this year.”
Dick Elsy, CEO of the HVM Catapult, says: “This is both an exciting and challenging time for manufacturers, where bridging the gap between concept and commercialisation and getting high-quality products on the market as quickly as possible are more important than ever.
“By providing manufacturers with the cutting-edge equipment and skilled resources they need to commercialise their world-class technologies, we can help to ensure that the UK remains a world leader in high value manufacturing.
“We look forward to meeting more manufacturers at the conference next year and supporting them in turning exciting concepts into reality.”
