Take off for scalable growth and long-term resilience

MTC modernised an aerospace company’s manufacturing with a fully connected digital infrastructure for its new production facility, setting it up for scalable growth and long-term resilience.

To keep up with increasing demand, Moog, a global leader in aerospace components, required both extra space to scale-up operations and faster throughput without compromising on quality, reliability or control. It turned to MTC to help it adopt advanced technologies that could unlock the full potential of data-driven operations and automation.

MTC helped Moog to combine its existing digital tools to create smarter workflows, adaptable technologies and a more connected way of working. An Internet of Things (IoT) system to automatically manage coolants for its CNC machines has reduced the amount of coolant and oil used and allowed operators to focus on product rather than machine maintenance.

MTC also helped Moog automate inefficient and repetitive tasks, targeting time-intensive, highly skilled tasks first, such as assembling and testing control valves. The resulting automated and improved procedure has enhanced operators’ effectiveness tenfold.
