Stamping down packaging emissions by 60%

The project has won Brandauer new clients that exclusively use reusable packaging.

WMG helped a Birmingham precision stamping and tooling manufacturer reduce packaging emissions across the company by 60% and cut costs by 15%.

Brandauer approached WMG’s SME team to get a better understanding of its carbon footprint and tackle the amount of single-use packaging materials it was using for clients.

As part of the Net Zero Innovation Network, WMG engineers mapped the packaging system and calculated greenhouse gas emissions. Using the data, WMG recommended swapping conventional pallets for reusable packaging which could save the equivalent of 9.5 tonnes of CO2 and slash costs.

The project has won Brandauer new clients that exclusively use reusable packaging.
