Through activities such as our Brussels office, membership of the European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA) and the European Association for Research and Technology Organisations (EARTO), participation in key conferences and networking events, the HVM Catapult now has an established and positive profile both with the European Commission (EC) and other European Research and Technology Organisations (RTOs).
Influence Policy and Work Programmes
The HVM Catapult has a formal role at the Board of the Factories of the Future Public Private Partnership (PPP), which is one of the major areas of focus for centres in Horizon 2020.
The HVM Catapult works proactively with the EC – articulating our expertise and capability to address the challenges to manufacturing on a European scale. We are also a delivery partner in the EU GREAT project which is making recommendations to EU policy makers on the role and nature of large scale R&D initiatives.
The HVM Catapult works in partnership with many of its international counterparts such as Fraunhofer (Germany), Tecnalia (Spain), TNO (Netherlands) and others on both strategic issues and individual research projects.
Obtain access to funding
Despite unprecedented levels of competition, the HVM Catapult centres have successfully secured a number of projects under the first calls of Horizon 2020 and will continue to seek to use EU funding to support the achievement of our objectives.
