Working to deliver skilled people

A skilled workforce is the biggest requisite for the ongoing success of manufacturing in the UK.

Our Centres offer Apprenticeships, training courses and student placements to help build and maintain high level technician skills required to develop and implement the technology innovations needed for a competitive UK advanced manufacturing sector.

We continue to work with UK Government, the EEF and others, to establish a National College for Advanced Manufacturing which will identify the needs of industry and work with others to develop high quality training provision to meet those needs.

The AMRC Training Centre in Rotherham is a state-of-the-art facility offering the very best in practical and academic training. Working with employers, the centre identifies and provides the skills required that manufacturing companies need to compete globally, from apprenticeship through to doctorate and MBA level.

The Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre at the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry, opened its doors in November 2015. The centre’s advanced technician apprentice programme offers a unique opportunity to develop a strong engineering expertise, giving young engineers the chance to build a career in an exciting, thriving and innovative environment.

Our other centres provide specialist courses and development programmes associated with their technology focus.
