Principles of working with us

The work we do with companies is high value, highly innovative and often highly confidential. We adopt a number of  principles for working with our partners and clients to ensure that the results and benefits from our work aren’t compromised and that all parties know what to expect and achieve the best outcomes from our collaboration.

Our principles are:

Open Access Facilities

Our facilities are open to organisations of all sizes and across all manufacturing sectors. Although several of our centres also offer membership options, being a member is not a requirement for accessing our facilities and our services.

Contractual Agreements

If you decide to work with us, our engagement will be formalised in a contract which reflects the type of engagement and the role of the different partners in the project.

IP

Intellectual Property & Confidentiality

We regularly work on critically confidential projects, and will sign a Non Disclosure Agreement with you before discussing details of a potential project, to ensure what we talk about remains confidential.

NCC

State Aid Compliance

We comply with State Aid rules, which exist to avoid distortion of competition. This may involve completion of specific documentation by companies we work with.

Financial Support

We work with companies to develop funding proposals and we at times make introductions to investors. We do not offer grants, loans or other direct financial support to companies.

CPI26

Publicity

We may request companies and others to support us in publicising our work, for example through taking part in casestudies, imagery, PR or events. This is always at the company's discretion.
