Judith joined the Supervisory Board of the HVM Catapult in January 2014. She is a chemical engineer and worked in chemicals manufacturing industry for more than 25 years. She also has extensive experience of interacting with Government. She was Director General of the Chemical Industries Association for several years making the case for the UK chemicals industry with passion based on personal experience and then moved to Brussels to bring that same passion to representing all of Europe’s chemical industry. Judith spent 9+ years as Chair of the Health and Safety Executive and is also a non-Executive Director of HS2. She is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Institution of Chemical Engineers , a trustee of the former and former Presdient of the latter. Judith is currently Chair of MAKE UK (formerly EEF) and Enginuity (formerly Semta). Judith received the First Women Award for her dedication to manufacturing in 2013. She is the Senior Independent director on our Supervisory Board.
