“For an advanced economy, the path to competitiveness is not to copy what others are doing. It is to do things that others cannot do, or to do things in different and better ways”
Building our Industrial Strategy: Green Paper, 2017.

UK Manufacturing Forum 2018

That philosophy underpins everything that the High Value Manufacturing Catapult is trying to do, but to maximise our impact we must keep improving how we work to translate the UK’s world-class research into commercial outcomes.

The first UK Manufacturing Forum event in December 2017 set a clear agenda for Government, academia and research technology organisations as we collaborate to drive forward the Industrial Strategy. Following the success of that event, we would be delighted if you could join us on the 10th and 11th December 2018 at the Slate, Warwick Conferences.

Hear from Professor Sam Turner, Chief Technology Officer of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult and Professor Tim Minshall, Head of the Institute for Manufacturing, on the progress made since the last UK Manufacturing Forum and how we can work together to pull through four of the technologies that will underpin a sustainable high value manufacturing future for the UK: Digital, Composites Manufacturing, Metrology and Additive Manufacturing.

Evening meal and accommodation will be provided for all attendees. Further information to follow upon confirmation of attendance.

Please send any questions or queries to questions@hvm.catapult.org.uk

We look forward to welcoming you then.
