There are many reasons why companies and apprentices choose to enter the EEF Future Manufacturing Awards. Since the awards programme was founded in 2008, it has celebrated, elevated and provided a spring board for even greater success for apprentices and manufacturing businesses of all sizes and sectors.

The High Value Manufacturing (HVM) Catapult is pleased to sponsor the Business Innovation Award, for the second year running.

The Innovation Award celebrates innovations through new products, processes, markets and business models. Such innovations will be governed by strategic intent and have driven greater productivity, efficiency and business growth, within the last three years. This could include successful practices associated with the design and delivery of a new product to market, or processes relating to production, business management or restructuring which have significantly increased benefits.

Examples include:

  • Investment made in new technology and/or factory
  • Improved efficiencies through new ways of working
  • A new business model to take the business in a new direction
  • New product to market
