If you want to develop an innovative product or service, you may be able to apply for funding. Here is a summary of some of Innovate UK’s current funding opportunities:

The future of aviation security

The Department for Transport and the Home Office invite innovative organisations to apply for a share of up to £1 million to develop new ways of improving aviation security screening.

Emerging and enabling technologies

The aim of this competition is to help businesses innovate to find new revenue sources. Proposals show how to achieve a step change in business growth, productivity and export opportunities for at least one UK small and medium-sized enterprise.

Manufacturing and materials round 2

Innovate UK is to invest up to £15 million in innovation projects in manufacturing and/ or materials. We will fund projects that focus on identified technical or commercial challenges. These should lead to increased productivity, competitiveness and growth for UK small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Autonomy and hazardous scene assessment 

In this Centre for Defence Enterprise (CDE) themed competition we want to investigate the use of autonomous systems to assess scenes that are potentially contaminated with hazardous materials. There is up to £1 million phase-1 research funding available.

Innovation in health and life sciences

Apply for a share of £15 million for projects that support SMEs to develop innovations in health and life sciences. We encourage applications featuring: Increasing agricultural productivity, Improved food quality and sustainability, Precision medicine, Advanced therapies, Preclinical technologies or Biosciences.

Horizon 2020: European innovation fund seeks business projects

Business support is available for projects in a range of fields including sustainable food security, rural innovation and business, marine projects, the bioeconomy, smart cities and green vehicles.
