HVM Annual Review Launched at House of Commons

annual review for websiteDick Elsy, CEO of the HVM Catapult, launched the Annual Review 2015-16 at the House of Commons on 28 June 2016. The event, which celebrated our five year anniversary, was attended by over 125 MPs, Peers and stakeholders.
The success of the HVM Catapult over the past five years is best illustrated by the level of industry buy-in and engagement, which consistently exceeds expectations. With an order book of over £188, over 3,000 business customers (of whom over 1,700 are SMEs) in 2015-16, and over 1,900 staff across seven centres, the HVM Catapult has grown as the go-to-place of manufacturing in the UK.
Dick referred to the forward looking section in the Annual Review, which unashamedly argues to build on our successful formula and continue to do ‘more of the same’.
Chris White MP, Chair of the All Party Manufacturing Group and host of the event, spoke about the importance of continued government support for the Catapult model and the increased recognition of the role manufacturing plays in our balanced economy.
Andrew Churchill, MD of JJ Churchill Ltd, passionately relayed his own experience – as a mall company in the Midlands – of working with the HVM Catapult.
